Job Description

General Purpose of Job:

The Head Pickleball Pro will monitor and grow the program for all players. The Head Pro will monitor the program enrollment, coaching content and curriculum to grow and better serve the needs of the program and member base. The Head Pro will work with the Pickleball Supervisor to identify areas of growth and opportunities for increased revenue.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Teach/lead clinics, events and camps as required by the Pickleball Supervisor.
  • Assist with program administration as assigned by the Pickleball Supervisor to a maximum of 4 hours per week.
  • Assist with court maintenance and teaching supplies as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain enrollment to the standards of the program.
  • Monitor and Maintain Coaching Curriculum and teaching standards.

Job Requirements
General Requirements * PPR Professional or PCI Professional Certification.
Work Experience * Minimum of 2 years as a teaching pro at a club or resort. Preferred: * Prior experience in a club setting * Proven Track record of building a program for both recreational and competitive pathways. * Playing ability of 4.5 or higher.
Education * High school or GED
Specialized Knowledge and Skills * Ability to drive a program and further develop a system for player development. * A team player with a friendly attitude and personality are a must * Punctual, professional, and positive with a strong work ethic * The ability to connect to a wide range of ages and levels * The interest and desire to help grass-roots players learn the game * Strong communication skills in a one-on-one lesson or group lesson setting. * Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to adjust to different situations and handle multiple requests/tasks at one time. * Strong tennis playing skills and teaching skills. * A person who leads by example. * A self-confident person with an outgoing personality.
