Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
1 year of experience operating machinery/equipment preferred
Ability to work night shift - 7:00pm - 7:00am plus overtime
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Ability to be self-directed and multitask
Ability to follow directions
Timeliness
Ability to obtain forklift license and operate forklift
Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Resume containing qualification must be submitted for further consideration
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Machine in order to:
Ensure safety
Perform to quality, waste, and production standards and goals
Meet or exceed the customers (both internal and external) expectations
Meet the highest of quality standards
Communicate orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift information
Report production accurately and timely throughPrism to include waste,WIP,time codes, raw materials, etc.
Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations
Manage the duties of an operator, including but not limited to:
Prepare master rolls for slitting
Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing
Properly segregate and label all materials (as appropriate) - for work in process, rewinds, trash, and hold)
Assist in removing rolls from rewind (as necessary)
Remove and weigh startup rolls/materials at beginning of job
Perform daily housekeeping duties to keep area clean and organized during setup, run and end of shift
Remove and weigh all waste
Keep trash waste separated from recycle materials
Properly store all unused equipment
Competencies include:
Informing, reporting, deciding, checking objects, reviewing, using instruments, teamwork, following instructions, checking written information, performing physical tasks, using a keyboard/computer, calculating/counting
